Ferro Niobium

Ferro Niobium is an alloy of iron and niobium with niobium content above 60% by weight. It is an additive in production process of amorphous metals. It imparts corrosion resistance and makes the alloy much stronger and weldable. It increases high temperature resistance, oxidation resistance, creep resistance, it also reduces erosion at high temperatures. It is used in application that needs to handle larger stress and needs good strength to weight ratio.

• Directionally sensitive application like suspension bridge.
• Alloying of High strength low alloy steel (HSLA)
• Super conductors
• Nuclear fusion reactor construction
• Aircraft production
